Both sides of this Austen 2 seater sofa have powered footplates which at just the touch of a button will rise up behind the users legs to lift & support. The footplates on either side work independently to each other & are controlled with buttons that are located on the outside of the sofa arms. The seat depth of this settee is excellent and this combined with seamed back cushions which provide great support in lumbar regions all combine for superb comfort.
This sofa has soft retro styling which can be seen in the sloped arm design which then kicks back up to create mini side wings, as well as the neat timber legs and the angled arm fronts.
This sofa is made with electrical motors inside which allow the footplate to rise & fall, however if no socket is available to plug into then a rechargable power pack can be added. This allows the footplates to work when the sofa is not plugged into a socket and the pack is then recharged as required in much the same way as a mobile phone or laptop would be.
