This electrically powered recliner 3 seater settee is called the Laurie and it's made by G Plan upholstery. The eye catching design includes features such as pleated back cushions, high supportive neck & head cushion with deep fibre interiors as well as full depth well filled arm pads. The seats are both deep and filled with resilient foam interiors which sit on a sprung platform base.
The powered recliner action is easy to use by pressing the buttons located on the outside of each arm. By doing so the footplate raises up behind the seated persons legs. Once a footplate is up the back starts to recline too and the action can be halted wherever is suitable by simply taking pressure of the button. To return to a sitting position, or adjust in any position, press the opposite button and the mechanism closes up to sitting. Each side of the sofa reclines independently to the opposite side.
This recliner sofa is powered by plugging it into a normal household wall socket and all of cables for this come from G Plan with the sofa. If however there isn't a socket available it is possible to add a rechargeable power pack to the order which means that it can be powered that way. The power pack then sits at the back of the sofa, tucked underneath and out of view, and is recharged when required in the same way as a mobile phone or laptop is.
