This is a manual recliner 3 seater settee called Laurie which is made by G Plan. A modern & contemporary style with clean lines and defined corners it has pleated back cushions, high supportive neck & head cushion all with deep fibre interiors and the full depth well filled arm pads. The seats are both deep and filled with resilient foam interiors which sit on a sprung platform base.
The recliner action is very easy to use by releasing the foot plate using the catches on the outside of each arm. This allows the footplates on each side to raise up behind the seated persons legs. Once a footplate is up if required the back can also be lowered by pushing backwards into the inside back area. A return to sitting position is easily achieved by sitting forwards in the seat and then sweeping the footplate closed with the back of the legs. Each side of the sofa reclines independently to the opposite side.
